Sharing Canadian History and traditional French Canadian Culture using Song, Stories, and Dance since 1982
Over the last 35 years, more than 1 million Canadian students have experienced Les Bûcherons’ lively, interactive and FUN presentations that showcase an appreciation for Canadian History and French Canadian Culture.
Feel as if you’ve magically stepped back in time!
Through participatory, hands-on performances, your students experience chapters of Canadian history dating back to 1534.
Music, stories, dances, props, workshops and audience participation bring Canada’s history to life! Your students will journey “in a canoe” across French Canadian history and culture.
Experience the educational benefits of having your students participate in our programs. We encourage students to understand the traditions and cultural diversity that render Canada a truly unique country.
We help to build students’ awareness and appreciation for Canadian culture, music, folklore and values. Gilbert Parent is passionate about French-Canadian culture and his love is contagious!
These are proven methods of deepening student learning through experience.
We strive to create an inclusive culture where students and budding artists can join together in a spirit of kindness, enthusiasm, respect and a celebration of their potential differences.
A great experience for the children. They got to use French outside of their regular class activities. Singing and dancing your way through curriculum. And we can’t forget the maple syrup lollipop!
