Sur Le Pont D’Avignon (or “On the Bridge of Avignon”) is a song and dance inspired by the legend and history of the St. Benezet Bridge on the Rhone River. Originally built in the 12th century to show the division between France and the Holy Roman Empire, it was partly destroyed numerous times due to wars and floods. Today, only four arches remain standing of the original twenty-two. It is now a tourist attraction used for partying and dancing!

The kindergarten students absolutely loved learning how to play the spoons and learning french songs. Ian and Gordon captured the student’s attention by telling stories, singing and playing a variety of instruments, especially the saw! The students loved performing for their parents during the evening concert. I would highly recommend this 5 day event.
